The Faith of a Child

Matthew 18:1-4 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them 3 and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

There have been many times in my life where my sense of delight, adventure and curiosity have not been present in my life. I have seen how often I have not been good at knowing the difference between healthy childlike trust, joy and the adventure of following my loving Father in heaven, and the broken life that is lived out of pride and fear.

Our Father in heaven is inviting us to play with Him.  To dance at His feet. To live a life of humble trust, as we know our Father will protect and provide for us.  It is absolutely amazing how important this truth is.  We are children of the King of the universe! As we come into renewed relationship with our Father, through the humble loving work of Jesus Christ our Savior, we can live this life of dependent love. I invite you to pray for, invite, consider what it means to have humble, childlike dependence on your Father, and learn to dance and play at His feet.
