The Scripture is full of the exhortation to imitate, to learn from the example of our Lord Christ and from one another.  One of the most powerful things we can do is to come into the awareness how much there is to learn from Christ’s example in the Scriptures and His life that is manifest all around us in His Church.  Learning to truly love other people has been a life of adventure for me.  I was raised in a very broken home and my inner man has always been basically afraid of being open, vulnerable to other people.  As I follow Christ, trust Him to protect me, learn from His self-sacrifice, I have been changed as a person and as a man.  Jesus’ love for people teaches me to take the risk.  Jesus’ example of dependence on His Father gives me the foundation to take the risk of love.  Jesus’ direct guidance, out of relationship with Him, gives me the answers I need in the moments of risk.  Jesus’ loving provision and partnership heals my soul as I follow Him.  

Today I want to encourage you to take a step of faith by asking Christ to be your guide in all your day.  Look, listen, consider the Word of God alive and active in your world and choose to follow in the path, the very footsteps of Christ.  He has a loving adventure for each of us today.
