Oh, The Love of God

One of my favorite prayers in the entire Bible is in the book of Ephesians, chapter 3 verses 14 to 21. Paul prays for the church to be strengthened with power and then begins praying for the Ephesians, and us, to know and grow in the Love of God. It is stunning to me, but true, that Paul literally prays that as we are filled with love we are filled with the fullness of God!

Take note: “18 (We) may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

I long to see the Church of Christ once again full of God and revived in the power and love of God.  To see us acting and reacting in the same grace and victory shown for us in the Bible.  To see our nation revived and healed. Where do we start?

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Dear Friends – everything in your world flows out of your love relationship with God through Christ.  Make your first prayer each day, “Jesus, help me to love you more today.” If you do this, you will be dead center on God’s will for you that day.  Keep on praying!
