Inviting the Presence of God

There are those people whom you really want to be around and there are those people whom it is a burden to share time with.  Jesus Christ is someone I always want to be with.  The great joy and amazing truth is that He actually wants to be with me, with us, more than we do with Him.  This is shy the entire New Testament is a story of God’s deliberate invasion into our lives to reclaim us for Himself.  I love this promise in the book of James:

4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Take note of that promise!  If you will move toward Him, He will move toward you!  The God of the universe is eager to come and be with you today.

Now, more than ever, we need the living presence of Jesus Christ in our lives, churches and nation. The really good news is that we have the promises of God assuring us that He desires to be with His people.

Revival starts simply with people who really want God to come and be with them.  There is only one person who needs to be present for a revival to start in the church, and that is the person of Jesus Christ.

  • So, come together, join in groups from two to two-hundred and seek Him together.
  • Be serious about repentance. “Wash your hands you sinners” (this is us). Confess your sins to one another and God. Stand in the gap and cry out for mercy for the sins of your friends, loved ones, city, state and of our nation.
  • Pray and seek Him. Give a real chunk of your free time to seeking God in Christ each day.
  • Look for Him to show up. He is coming to His Church with a passionate love bursting with power and gifts.

Do what you see Him doing…revival is coming to His church!
