Where do you find your peace?  Some people find their peace in television, in movies.  Some people find their peace in food, in snacks. Some people find their peace with their face planted on their phone screen.  Some find their peace by a stream in the mountains. Where do you find your “peace”? 

While there are many ways to distract our hearts from true peace in these difficult and dark days, true peace can be found only in a true relationship with the One who has our world in His hand.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

I want to encourage you today to focus on Jesus and lay the burden of these dark days on Jesus.  He is great at carrying our burden, and us, through troubling times. He is with you in the storm.  He is with you in the war. He is with you in the wilderness.  Fix your heart on Him.  Lay out your requests, fears, needs, joys and sorrows.  Thank Him for His presence. Fix your mind on the love that Jesus has shown for you in dying on the cross just for you.  He is with you. He has you.
