2 Timothy 1:6-7  For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

This is what God is working in you: Power – iove – a mind of moderation – self-control – self-discipline – a sound mind!  This is a gift from God to you!

In this exhortation from the Apostle Paul to Timothy we see a very important word of opportunity.   Our choice is to fan into flame what God has given to us as His children. The Gift of His presence in us.  His Spirit in us; a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Paul encourages Tim to make the choice to join him in the work of the Gospel, to join him in living and working in the faith and love of Jesus Christ.  Fan to flame this wonderful gift of love from the Father – share His love with those around you.  Praise and thank Him for His love in you, for you, through you. Fan to flame every day this gift of God.  Join me in praying, “Lord set me on fire with your power, love and sound thinking. Dear Lord, set me on fire!!”
