2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
In these days of election dispute, racial tension, pandemic and strife it is very important to remember that our Lord Jesus sits enthroned above the chaos and is at work in the midst.
The Kingdom of Heaven has been called “the upside-down Kingdom”. What this refers to is the simple fact that our God does not value or see things the same way that we do. He patiently, powerfully works to bring His will to pass taking into consideration the works and will of every human being on the earth. This is far more than we can even imagine; and it requires us to trust Him as the world goes on its crazy pathways.
This does not mean we are silent or stationary. No, we fix our eyes on the eternal. We pray. We love those around us. We hope. We unite and invite the power of His Kingdom to come and turn darkness into light. Keep on praying friends and fix your gaze on Jesus to receive those moment by moment encouragements, to be that light and salt that this crazy world needs. Jesus is at work, now more than ever. Fix your heart, mind and vision on Him.
