Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

As followers of Jesus Christ our job is to advance His Kingdom in this earth, that is our commission.  We cannot do that with our hands alone.  We need to be a people who recognize and seek the power that only Heaven can bring. Prayer is intimate communication, worship, supplication, intercession and petition. Prayer is the life line for each believer with the Source of Life.  Oh, brothers and sisters how we need to invest in our relationship with God in prayer.  For too long we have been content with the works of our own hands to build His church.  I am afraid that our current situation reveals the fruit of such thinking.  Father, have mercy on us and renew in Your people a passion to seek Your face.  Fill us with the conviction that You are our source and supply for every aspect of our work.  Oh Father, how we desperately need You! In Jesus name, Amen!
