One of the most amazing things about the Scripture is the simple and consistent way it empowers us to live in good stuff.
Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
The simple principle that is taught again and again is that by your choices you can either live in God by focusing on His good stuff or live in the fear that sin and brokenness create. “Think about such things” is a simple exhortation to focus your heart on the grace and love that God has given you in so many ways; from food to cloths to the forgiveness of all you sins through Jesus.
In this day and age of constant terrible news choose to set you your mind on the God of love who has done so very much to care for and provide you. Then go out and do something kind, just like He did for you. You will be and you will spread a love that will make this world a better place.
