Repent is not a bad word, it is a good word. It means to get a radically new mind in you. You can ask God to help you. Jesus commanded us to.
Matthew 4:17 (ESV) 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Today is the National Day of Prayer! This day represents a call, a chance for people everywhere to turn to God and ask for His kindness and mercy. A chance to openly confess you need a radical new mind, just like me.
Let’s get a new mind, let’s get God’s mind. God we need you! God we are broken, we are lust filled, apathetic, prideful and greedy people. Give us a new mind. May your Kingdom come here to earth today and help us to have a new mind, to repent. Lord fill us with your love, your heart to give, your humility and your passion for what is on your heart.
Lord have mercy on us, on America, on California and on me. May Your heart be in us again and may Your mind be revealed and embraced today in America. Lord, grace us to repent!
