Coming into salvation is well described as entering a doorway into a whole new way of living. You change what you are doing, what you are seeking, how you are living, where you get your joy, where you get you resources and where you are headed.

This is Jesus vision of salvation, abundant life. Jesus is a doorway into new life. We literally come into relationship with Christ to such a degree that it changes everything!
